The terms that apply when you book plumbing or gas work with us. Quotes, offers, guarantees, and your rights as a customer.

These terms apply to the plumbing and gas services provided by Vanguard Plumbing & Gas (ABN 47 693 990 206, QBCC licence 15578913) and to your use of this website. By booking work with us or using this site, you agree to these terms.
We provide plumbing, gas, drainage and hot water services to residential and commercial properties across Brisbane. All regulated plumbing and drainage work is carried out by appropriately licensed personnel, and where work is classified as notifiable work under the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 (Qld) we register it with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission as required.
We provide a fixed price for the work before it starts. The price we quote is the price you pay for the work quoted.
If, once work is underway, we find something that was not visible or reasonably knowable at the time of quoting, we will stop, explain it, and give you a revised price before continuing. You are free to decline any additional work.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless we state otherwise.
From time to time we run promotional offers, including discounts on particular services and a discount for first-time customers.
Only one discount or promotional offer applies per job. Offers cannot be combined or used together, and cannot be applied retrospectively to work already invoiced. We may change or withdraw an offer at any time.
Where we accept a booking on the basis of same-day service and we do not attend that day, you receive $65 off that job. This is the sole remedy under the same-day guarantee, and it counts as the one discount permitted per job under the clause above.
We guarantee our workmanship for the lifetime of the installation for as long as you own the property. If our workmanship fails, we will return and rectify it at our cost.
The guarantee covers our workmanship. It does not cover the manufactured products themselves, which carry their own manufacturer warranties, and it does not cover fair wear and tear, misuse, damage caused by others, alterations made by someone else, or failures arising from the pre-existing condition of a property.
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed time. If we cannot access the property at the agreed time, we may need to reschedule.
Payment is due on completion of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as you reasonably can so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our guarantees are provided in addition to those rights, not instead of them.
